{Kids Party} Carnival Theme Party Part I :: Feature
I am usually not a fan of primary colours – but it really worked for this Carnival Themed Party! Red, Blue, and Yellow were the main colours, and we added in hints of green and orange to make it even more colourful. Started with a blue and white stripe tablecloth, red plates and bowls with “celebrate” napkins, Oranges with straws for drinking the juice, cheater banana splits, decorate your own cupcakes, and blue Oatees (thank you Smurfs for coming out in the cinema at the same time as my little boy’s birthday party!). We had loads of printable goodies to personalize the whole thing- straw flags, pinwheels, banners, crayon wrappers, food wrappers, popcorn bags, cupcake toppers, and coordinating invites (these will be featured more in following posts). To keep the kids entertained, my darling hubby made balloon animals, our friend Tanya painted faces, and we hired a simple jumping castle (always a hit!). For the favours- each child got their own colourful bucket with a chalkboard space to write their name. Inside we arranged a Bashews drink (in their new nifty plastic bottles!), play dough, pinwheel, party blower, crayons and colouring sheet, colour pens, gummies, cutlery, and mustache lollipops. The kids absolutely LOVED carrying their buckets around- its now 2 weeks later and my kids still carry them everywhere – so sweet! For the adults, we made yummy brownies, wrapped them up with a thank you printable and gave them to the parents as they left to say thanks.
**Part I of our Carnival Party Inspiration Posts is the feature of the actual party – so you’ll see loads of pictures that you can glean inspiration from. The following posts will include tutorials on how to do the Chalkboard buckets and other Chalkboard Details, all the printables, and even some of the recipes we used for the catering.**
That’s enough chatting for now- hopefully you have made a cuppa by now and you can sit back and enjoy the pictures :)
Blessings!
